MIRACULOUS ENCOUNTER AT A POLICE STATION

 One thing known about this man who is unarguably regarded as the most wonderful and mysterious man on earth is that when he desires to see or meet with someone, that person immediately appears live in his presence within a few seconds, even if he or she was previously several kilometres away from him. Below is a detailed account of one of such wonders:

MIRACULOUS ENCOUNTER AT A POLICE STATION

 This mysterious man was just driving along the road one day, when he suddenly heard a bang at the back of his car. He stopped and came out to see what had happened. Behold! A motorcycle
rider, popularly called ‘Okada’ had banged his bike on his car and completely damaged one of the rear lights.

The rider himself; lay on the road screaming with pains. He had sustained a multiple fracture on one of his legs, with the broken bones sticking out of his flesh very prominently.

Immediately, with the help of those who had stopped at the scene, they carried him into his car and he took him to the hospital where he started receiving immediate medical attention. He spent three days at that hospital before his relation who had been keeping him company all along, decided that it was better to have him treated by local bone repairers in one of the nearby villages. At this, they requested the hospital authorities to discharge him. This was agreed, and he was taken to the village bone ‘doctor’.

Meanwhile the matter had been reported to the police which directed that both his car, and the motorcycle (which was also damaged) be parked at the police station.

His car remained parked at the station for about one week as the police continued their usual investigation. When it finally decided to release his car to him, he was asked to come the following day for it.

On arrival at the station the next day, the senior police officer in -charge wore a very gloomy look, and he was wondering whether. with such a mood, the officer would still be willing to discuss the release of his car as he was promised the previous day. He was pacing up
and down the office, entering one room after another as if in search of something.

When he greeted him, he responded in such a low tone that he could not make out what he really responded with. His entire staff was equally agitated and appeared uncomfortable and sympathetic with their master’s plight.

When he finally entered his own office and sat down, our mystery man picked up courage and walked in to ask what the matter was. He explained to him that he lost his bunch of keys, and had been restless since then. He said that he had gone back to all the
places he had been to that morning to check if he had left the bunch in any of those places, but all efforts made so far yielded nothing. He had some sympathy for him because of the degree of sorrow and worry he bore all over him.

He then asked him whether he was a Roman Catholic, but he said he was not. Then he told him that if he were one, he would have reminded him to pray to St. Anthony of Padua for
help. He explained to the officer that in the Catholic Church, St. Anthony is honoured as a saint who helps people recover lost items. People who suffer loss of their items just need to beg St. Anthony (with strong faith) to pray to Jesus for them and beg Jesus to grant the
victims the favour of discovering such lost items. This saint usually assists all who have this faith to recover such lost items. He detailed him as follows: ‘’We often resort to asking the saints to pray for us
because prayers of holy people are dearer to God and more powerful than our own prayers. Because of this, Jesus grants their requests much faster than those coming from us still here on earth. Remember that the bible says that all of us have sinned and
fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3.23) and also says that the prayers of holier people pierce the vaults of heaven and are quickly heard by God (James 5.6, Job 42.8- 10). “At this, the officer begged him to help him pray to St. Anthony for him since he was
not a Catholic. He assured him that he would do so.

For just wishing that St. Anthony should come to the aid of this man, the place he left his bunch of keys immediately occurred to him. He sprang to his feet and called out to one of his men and directed him where to go to for the keys. The man just went there and saw the keys and brought it to him.

He was filled with joy and wonder at the quick response St. Anthony gave to his wish for him. His staff also joined him to rejoice at the discovery of the bunch of keys.

After all these, they went over to the issue of release of his car, which was what he came for. He then told him that he should bring along the brother to the motorcycle rider who had earlier come to their station to make written statements on the incident, which
he signed on behalf of his injured brother. He explained to him .that this man was needed to sign some document which would precede the release of his car to him. He apologized for not telling him about this requirement the previous day. He only met the injured man’s brother once during one of his visits to the hospital to see
him. He did not know his name, nor where he came from. Now, he was required to produce him. Without his coming to the police station to sign the required document, his car would not be released to him. The only way open to him was to go to look for the injured
man who had been taken to some village bone repairer in a place he did not know. Another alternative was to request the police to give him the address of the man from his written statement; so that he could use that address to begin to search for him. Suppose he was able to trace his home through this, it could also happen that he would
discover that he had travelled out for his business or something else.

As he stood in front of the police station thinking of how to locate this man and request him to come to the police station to sign that vital document that was the sine- qua-non for the release of his car, he looked up and saw standing in front of him, this very
man he was wondering how he could ever be found. He was busy talking with a policeman.

At first, he could not believe his eyes. “Perhaps it is not him. Perhaps this is only a man that looks like him. I had only seen him once” These were the thoughts that went through his mind.

He then moved closer to confront him. “Excuse me”, he pleaded . “Are you the brother of the okada man with a fracture at the General hospital?” “Yes!” came the response. “Any problem?” he queried. “No! there is really no problem, except that the police said you should come and sign some document. In fact, I was thinking of how to locate
you, before I suddenly saw you here,” he explained to him. “But what brought you here today? Did the police ask you to come back today?” he asked the man very anxiously. “No!”. he answered. He went ahead to narrate to him how the police had just arrested him in
town for some traffic offence and impounded his vehicle, insisting that he must come to the police station. He showed him his vehicle which the police had impounded and parked. He said that they refused all his pleas to settle the matter there on the road.

He said he was trying to plead with the policeman he saw him talking with in an effort to see if he could be of help to him.

As he was explaining all these to him, his mind was filled with wonder at how God hurries to his aid once he wishes for something. He then told him that it was God that brought him to the station since he was already thinking of how to reach him to ask him to come
and sign the required document.

He then took him to the police officer, who was surprised that he could produce him so soon. He however did not bother to narrate to him the mystery behind the man’s sudden appearance at his office, only about ten minutes after he had been asked to fetch him. The officer gave him the document which he signed and the car was released to him.

“God has done it again, “he said to himself. He merely wished to see this man whose name or home he knew nothing about, and He just brought him to him immediately.

Our omniscient God had foreseen what he would face at the police station that day. Even before he came to the station, He had directed from above that the man he would soon be looking for be arrested by the police operating far away from the station, and dragged to that place on the very day he was asked to come to the police station. He
did this just to pave the way for him to meet the man and get him to sign the paper for the release of his car. The Lord is always good to him, and has done this type of thing for
him very many times. He keeps saying that he honestly does not deserve this type of special favour and love, and
that he does not know what he has done to deserve this.
