This event gave rise to the meeting of world leaders of 6th August 1963 in Moscow; resulting in the signing of the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty (SALT) which made the German newspaper, Neues Europa, in its Monday 15th.October 1963 edition to write in part: ‘’ This was in fact the first time in recent history of mankind that when concluding a political agreement of world importance, essential factors arising from religious matters were taken into account. This message is so vital that it deeply impressed the parties concerned in concluding the Moscow Agreement.”
All who pray for the dead at funerals and during memorial church services years after, already accept the existence of Purgatory; since they cannot be praying for someone who has gone to heaven, nor pray for someone in hell; as no amount of prayer can ever free a person out from hell; and a person in heaven has no need of our prayers.
