  1. Pot holes are always argued from the perspective of Cars, while this creates unnecessary wear and tear on all vehicles, for me the more pressing reason to improve the roads is on the motorcyclists. A motorcycle is susceptible to damage, but pot holes are potentially life threatening. This can be from losing balance on a corner to swerving in to another vehicle.. damage to a vehicle does not take priority over someone's life!

  2. No train station within a half hour drive for me. Buses only go to two of my five nearest towns. All are 30- 60 minutes travel. My Son is starting his first job in September, and we're saving like mad to get him a car as he can't get to work without one.

  3. Great video Jim. As a proud owner of two Seats, its sad to see the future of the brand in doubt. They make some fantastic cars that look and drive brilliantly. With only four models left on sale, no new models since 2020 and no further ICE cars planned it does not look good. I hope that if dealerships morph into fully Curpa in the future, they still provide servicing for Seat cars.

  4. I consider myself very lucky, as the transport hub in my small city is brilliant. The tram system now operates from the railway station, allowing train passengers to travel to smaller towns in the area which do not have a railway station, rather than use a bus or taxi. Trains run to London about every half hour or so and every ten minutes or so into Birmingham. There are also frequent trains to Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh. I have no complaints, especially as our bus service is also really good. I rarely use my car these days.

  5. Surely fixing the existing infrastructure is a higher priority than another billion pound tunnel ? The roads all over the country are atrocious. Ask any garage how many springs, dampers, and damaged wheels they fix these days. If the standard of road repair is the same as it is in the east midlands , in other parts of the country, god help us.

  6. SEAT said a while ago, they would become an E Mobility company? Maybe VW will separate the brand totally and itโ€™ll become a manufacturer of other types of electric vehicles. Time will tell.

  7. Public transport – i live 300 yards from a train station. It was closed in 1965 and track removed in the 1970s.
We don't really have a bus service. We have a service where we can book a bus a day in advance that will take people to doctor appointments etc. or to the bus stop in a village a few miles away on a bus route.
Everybody has access to cars. The bus service is very much a service for pensioners who don't need to get anywhere quickly and are exempt from the crazy ticket pricing.
They do have an eNV-200 bus for those short runs though.
Like the new Ioniq 6 more than the old one.
Re Dartford – would removing tolls not reduce congestion. Worked on Scottish bridges.

  8. So wealthy and business users are covering more EV miles than poor ICE owners…… Shocking !
Shame it costs so much to charge them up – and that they waste so much time waitibg for that to happen !

  9. Amazes me the number of bits of broken suspension coils that I see around where I live – lots of pot holes & speed bumps – a lethal combination ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

  10. The problem with Aptera is those deposits we mire than 3 years ago. Every single year since then "they were releasing the car to production"… They NEVER HAVE. By the time they actually do…. It will be irrelevant and battery tech for normal high street models will be above and beyond what Aptera have to offer. When they first advertised $25,000 car Tesla were $60k+ … In 2025 most people would rather buy a Citroen E-C3

  11. Pot hole filling is a scam where I live. The subcontractors do a poor job that isnโ€™t inspected and get to do the same job again and again. Set a standard and audit the work. You put my council tax up for no improvement.

  12. I'm in Farnborough, bus services in my road were removed a few years back. Trains are generally ok but the services are very infrequent at the times I would use them. In short you need to allocate a lot of extra time to use public transport and it isn't like you can carry much either. My local pool was closed a few years back, I now have a fifteen minute drive to Farnham to swim, it would take an hour using the bus!
