Change your car with Carwow:

Jaguar has finally unveiled its first new car since the controversial and divisive rebrand!

And what a car it is! It’s called the Type 00 Concept, and it’s meant to preview a four door coupe that’s due to be unveiled in late 2025. However, it’s totally different to anything Jaguar has ever unveiled before.

For starters, it’s super minimalistic on both the interior and exterior. There’s an absolutely huge grille design at the front (not that it will be used to cool the engine, given that this will be an EV!), and around the back, the taillights are hidden inside some horizontal line design elements. What’s more, there’s not even a back window!

The minimalism continues on the inside, with every surface being white, smooth and simple. Bar a long brass spine that runs through the whole cabin, that’s pretty much it!

But why has Jaguar taken this direction? Well, recently Jaguar hasn’t been innovating. It was workin non a replacement for the XJ in 2019, but then it was all scrapped at the last minute! Since then, sales have been falling, fast!

Only 64,000 cars were sold in 2023. In comparison, Porsche sold 320,000 cars in the same period, while BMW sold a colossal 2.2 million cars!

But will the gamble pay off? Stick with Mat and see for yourself!

  1. LMFAO is this an April fool's joke that I missed? Surely someone didn't design that car on purpose. This thing is actually uglier than the Cyber truck.

  2. I had a Jaguar XE for 4 years until last year. I had the R Dynamic model. And everyone i met loved it. They were just starting to win people back around and they scrapped EVERY car people loved.

    SMART 🤯

  3. I used own Jags in the past.
    Great to drive.Always needed fixing.
    So I switched to Mercedes.
    Great to drive ,did not need fixing.
    {and my current Mercedes is worth more than I paid for it a year ago}

  4. Damn Matt missed the point here, put a Rolls Royce Spectre next to this and you realize it isn't interesting, catchy, innovative or in any way futuristic. In fact its almost grounds to question whether Matt is actually a journalist or just a good screamer when people do a drag race, a running race or stopped quickly. It is the ironic (being the original definition not the new one) take on 'copy nothing' as any kid with an essay submitted like this would be done for plagiarism at first instance. Moreover a total brand innovation that devoid itself of its own brand is, at least in our country grounds for insolvency as it not longer even remotely represents the purpose of the original. The ad would have been better off saying bubble gum at the end. We have also heard the CEO who launched this idea, quit shortly after, the designer now works for Audi and the new managing director used to be the director of global customer service the single largest failure of JLR in the last 10 years. Also don't give me any DEI excuses, last time I checked the brand NEVER asked what race, sexual orientation or religion you were when you bought a car. Its as irrelevant as asking them what motor bike they ride. I look forward to the next phase of the brand after its bankruptcy frees it from the type of people we all know are currently running it.

  5. Jaguar, owned by an Indian subsidiary, is marketing for the future and LGBTQ with that ridiculous advertisement, while India remains one of the most homophobic cultures on this planet 😂
