  1. Greed is biting them. Dealers jacked up the prices beyond sticker, banks financed them, and manufacturers continued to raise sticker prices. It was a giant Ponzi scheme. Now you have a bunch of consumers underwater who can't trade in to upgrade, the economy is in the toilet, banks are repo'ing vehicles all over the place, dealer lots are full, and everyone is wondering what happened. It's clear. I have no sympathy for any of these players, other than the consumer who is caught in the vice.

  2. Collapsing or not consumers will not be allowed to buy cars at significant discounted prices, definitely. The government have no choice but bail them out again, and again, and again. The government can not afford unrest, protest, and millions people on unemployment benefits. So, the government will repeat themselves again.

  3. I paid 4,500 for an old Tacoma 2001. I did the maintenance myself and changed the suspension. Love that taco. Only 175k and could go to 400k easily. I also have a 2022 Tacoma that I financed with 3% rate for 4 yrs. I'm almost done paying it off. I'm keeping them for another 30 yrs.

  4. I like the 2021 Supra. Just out of curiosity I took a gander at CarMax and a few others to browse, and those mofos wanted $45-50k for one with 20k+ miles on it😂😂😂😂😂

I don’t give a shit how much money I have, I’m not spending no $50k on a mid range sports sedan. I hope it all crashes and burns

Just to give an idea, $45k was the msrp for that car fully loaded BRAND NEW when it came out lol

  5. Let it crash an no bail outs. They actually think everyone has a 100k a year job an everyone can afford a 45k SUV or a mid range 60k pick up. Clueless. Literally no doubt in my mind many layoffs coming to auto plants

  6. Unless it's a necessity, I've stopped buying literally anything. I buy food and gas, and I can fix mostly anything in my house or car. And if I don't know how, I YouTube it. I have no credit card debt, no loans or car notes. I'm just waiting for the economy to crash. It has to.

  7. Who cares? Nobody can afford them anyway. Personally, I hope they all go broke so we can return to reasonable pricing. Its the same for the housing market as well. We are at a 19% foreclosure rate right now in the housing market. Its usually considered high at about a 4% foreclosure rate. Besides,, everyone has finally gotten fed up with the lower quality of cars and the inflated prices to cover expenses. Lets face it, if you cant get it paid for before it has to be repaired in a five year period, why would the public continue purchasing from companies like that.

  8. I'm 41 and I've never purchased a new car in my life. Once I had a used Peugeot 306xr model 1994 (worst car ever). The maintenance was freaking expensive and it was just an overall crappy car. Then I bought a used Volkswagen Golf Gl model 1998. This car was way better than the Peugeot in the sense that it didn't require much expenses and it was in a better shape. I was 22 when I sold the VW Golf. After that, I never bought a car again cause I learned that to really own a car, you have to have real money to cover all the costs of owning a car: buying price, gas, insurance, taxes, maintenance, etc.

  9. It's a shame that people are giving up on cars to buy massive gas guzzling SUVs that nobody needs. We all used to make fun of Hummers for that, but now everyone has one in a different shape.

  10. You can buy any model vehicle right now used 2010 or older, get a wax and shine detail and replace the headlamps, taillights, and every incandescent bulb in it with 6000k white LEDs and it will just look like the 2025 model. Add some extra led strips for the inner cabin lighting or just mounting a 10" android tablet over the radio or dash will make it even more believable.😂

I replaced all outer inner lights in both my 07 and 12 cars with aftermarket LEDs and people always think they're newer models.

  11. My 2001 VW jetta has never looked so good. Yes i have a new car aswell but barley drive that Junk. They not built like they should be anymore
