The manslaughter trial of Hardee County grandmother Tracy Nix seated a jury on Monday ahead of the trials expected start on Tuesday, January 14th at 8:30 a.m. Nix is being tried for the death of her 7-month-old granddaughter after she left the infant in a hot car in 2022. Nix’s attorneys argued the case had too much publicity for a fair trial in Hardee County.

This woman must be punished for her gross negligence as she just went inside to rest and practice piano for long time. She is incapable to take care of children as another child drawn into pond while in her custody. She is a self obsessed woman.
This is the second child that has died at the hands of Kayla's mother. Idk if I would've given my own mother a second chance to do the same. The first time not enough evidence? She fell asleep while watching a child!!! How much more evidence do you need!!!! This little girls death is no accident especially after one child has died in your care!!!

Reason why I won’t allow my own mother to even watch my first kid. Let alone any others. Not everyone is cut out to watch babies and that’s fine but then know your own limitations.

Taking care of a baby it's a huge responsibility. If the grandmother has some form of dementia, she's also a victim in this case. It's almost the same as expering a 3 year old, to care for a 2 year old.
Fallen asleep while your grandson walks to the pond? I have never fallen asleep…but she could have locked the doors…she could have put an alarm on the door…both deaths smell of evil.

The Grandmother seems like a Narrissicit and the daughter was the scapegoat she probably was groomed her who life by this evil, demonic woman Grandmother. They are very clever and she probably manipulated the daughter into letting her watch her child.The Grandmother is pure evil and knew damn well what she was doing. Nope, sorry. This wasn't an accident. For a grandmother to kill one grandchild by "accident" is highly unlikely to begin with due the fact that we treasure every moment we get with our grandchildren. She knew and was fully cognizant of what she was doing.
They all seem very forgetful. That poor baby. I just can't even imagine how you can just leave a baby in a car, not alone Your own grandchild. Why would you have your mother watch your sec. child after what happened to your first child, Didn't take long to have a 3rd child. Hope the grandmother does not have any interaction with the 3rd child. This story for the baby is the only thing I see that is so sad…too many
